Code of Conduct
The International Society of Addiction Journal Editors (ISAJE) is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers at all conference venues, including official social events and digital platforms.
We expect all participants to uphold the following principles:
Harassment and exclusionary behavior are not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
Participants asked to stop any harassing or hostile behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant violates these rules, the conference organizers retain the right to take any action deemed appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without a refund.
How to Report an Incident
If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of our team immediately.
On-Site: Conference staff and security can be identified by their branded badges.

All reports will be handled seriously and kept confidential to the extent possible.

- Collaboration: Communicate openly and thoughtfully. Critique ideas rather than individuals.
- Mindfulness: Be aware of your surroundings and your fellow participants. Alert event staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
- Compliance: Obey all applicable laws, as well as the rules and policies of the conference venue and digital platforms.
Harassment and exclusionary behavior are not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Verbal comments or hate speech related to gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or socioeconomic status.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Harassing photography, recording, or the non-consensual sharing of images.
- Sustained disruption of talks, sessions, or events.
- Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
- Posting sexually explicit or violent material in conference spaces.
